Organoids
Organoids are 3D tissue/organ models made up of pluripotent stem cells and other supporting co-cultured cells eg. epithelial cells. Many types of organoids have been developed to date, including brain, pancreas, heart, lung, intestine, liver, optic cup and cancer organoids. They make stable model systems and can be derived from human stem cells or from patient derived iPSCs. Small molecules are increasingly being used to grow and maintain organoids because of their ease of use and controllable quality, enabling consistent, repeatable results. Researchers can save up to 50% on high purity small molecules used to generate organoids – the range from Hello Bio is around half the price of other suppliers.
