Streptavidin and conjugates
Streptavidin is a biotin binding protein widely used in molecular biology due to the extremely high affinity of the interaction. Fluorescent streptavidin conjugates can be used in immunohistochemistry while HRP conjugates can be used to enhance signal intensity in Western Blots. Janelia Fluor® Streptavidin conjugates enable easy immunofluorescence detection of biotinylated biomolecules:
- exceptional brightness and high photostability
- ideal for super resolution imaging techniques such as dSTORM and STED
- Conjugated to Janelia Fluor® 525, 549 and 646 they provide flexibility to work with other fluorescent markers.
