To celebrate Hello Bio’s 10th birthday, we’re taking a look back at some of the many great ‘Top Ten’ lists we’ve brought to you over the years! We love to champion women in STEM, and that’s why we published this fantastic list of ten female scientists who have achieved great things in science! This list of award-winning women features several Nobel Prize winners including Jennifer Doudna, Tu Youyou, Françoise Barré-Sinousi and May-Britt Moser. We also shine a spotlight on some lesser-known award-winners such as the South African inventor Kiara Nirghin, who picked up a prestigious prize for creating a brand new polymer material at the age of just 16!

To celebrate the UK’s National Poetry Month in 2022, we put together a wonderful list of ten science poems that captured our imaginations. October is Black History Month in the UK, and in 2021 we wanted to celebrate some of the inspiring black scientists who are achieving great things in their respective fields of STEM. These 10 outstanding researchers are not only leading the way in science research, but also act as influential role models for young black scientists across the globe. The list includes immunologist Kizzmekia Corbett, neurosurgeon Alexa Canady, sickle cell expert Julie Makani, and HIV and AIDS researcher Dr James Hildreth.
