We've been named Researchers’ Choice in the 2023 CiteAb Awards!

We’re over the moon to announce that Hello Bio has been named as Researchers’ Choice in the 2023 CiteAb Awards! We are absolutely delighted to take the crown in this prestigious category which is voted for by previous and existing customers who trust and value our products and customer service. After three years of being Highly Commended in the category it means the world to us to be recognised as one of the very best suppliers in the research reagent sector worldwide!

‘Allows me to focus on my work in the lab’

Here is just a small selection of the lovely comments we received from customer nominations:

I have been working with different products from Hello Bio - some of them quite novel, always good quality. It's easy to use the website, with deliveries always on time. In addition, the website is always full of interesting things that mix science with other relevant information.”

“I have bought reagents from Hello Bio on several occasions and have always been satisfied. The products work, are very well priced. Communication is easy and fast, which allows me to focus on my work in the lab.”

“Good products, kind service and great rewards program!”

The icing on the cake

Hello Bio co-founder and CEO, Steve Roome expressed his delight at the news. He said:

The team at Hello Bio are over the moon to have won this prestigious award. We have achieved Highly Commended in 3 previous years, but to win the award this year is the icing on the cake!

As scientists ourselves, our ethos has always been to support researchers in any way we can. Our scientific colleagues were often struggling with funding, and having to make difficult decisions about their research spend. So we decided to use our expertise to manufacture high quality, research-grade biochemicals, at prices that as many researchers as possible could afford. We’ve grown since then, offering antibodies, reagents, and peptides (still in keeping with our affordable and high quality ethos!), and are now supporting scientists in so many other ways – with our Early Career Scientist Grants, ground-breaking blog, Life Scientists Guides and resources to help support life in the lab. We appreciate that the pressures faced by scientists working today often go beyond the bench, and with the help of our wonderful online community of scientists, we tackle topics such as mental health, diversity & inclusion, funding, career development, parenting and more."

I personally would like to thank our entire team for their hard work, dedication and passion in supporting life science researchers all over the world. We have staff based in both Europe and the US, with everyone playing a vital part at Hello Bio - from our customer care team, manufacturing scientists & product specialists, to our procurement, facilities & stock and dispatch teams.

And of course, a massive thank you to our customers - researchers across the globe who took the time and effort to nominate us, despite the time-pressures and challenges they themselves often face in the lab. Without our customers we wouldn't be able to do what we do, and it is so lovely to know how much they appreciate Hello Bio and our efforts to support scientists."

What is CiteAb?

CiteAb provides an antibody and biochemical search engine to provide a simple way for researchers to find reagents that work, whilst their high quality market data and citations are used commercially by many of the world’s leading reagent suppliers and investment companies.

The CiteAb Awards aim to celebrate the very best suppliers and individuals in the research reagent sector worldwide and have been running for nine years. The Researchers' Choice award, is CiteAb's most prestigious category in which researchers vote for their favourite suppliers. The category recognises the reagent supplier that researchers have been most impressed with, over the past 12 months.

CiteAb founder, Andrew Chalmers, shared his congratulations on the win. He said:

“Congratulations to the team at Hello Bio for their win in the 'Researchers' Choice' category at the CiteAb Awards this year! This award asks scientists to let us know which supplier has gone above and beyond to support their work, whether this be through their products, service, or something else entirely. Hello Bio should be very proud to have received such strong nominations from researchers.”
