Another new year has begun and it’s time to start thinking about some of the exciting science events and conferences scheduled for 2025. You may already have a few key meetings pencilled in your diary, but for neuroscientists around the world there is a huge range of fantastic events to choose from this year!
Whether you’re a specialist in Alzheimer’s research, interested in the latest cancer studies, or fascinated by human brain mapping, there are meetings planned all around the world to cover every area of expertise.
We’ve picked out ten of the best and most innovative neuroscience conferences for life science professionals, where you can expand your knowledge, make valuable connections, and be inspired by the latest developments in neuroscience research.

1. World Neuroscience & Psychiatry Conference 2025
Hosts: Episirus Scientifica
Where: Bangkok, Thailand
When: 8-9 March 2025
The 9th edition of the World Neuroscience & Psychiatry Conference takes place in Bangkok, Thailand, this year and aims to bring together eminent neurologists, psychiatrists, psychologists and neuroscientists to exchange views and share new techniques.
This hybrid event is hosted by Episirus Scientifica and this year’s theme is ‘Discovering the Science of Brain and Mental Health’.
The 2-day program includes workshops, speaker sessions, panel discussions and posters, covering a wide range of topics including Neuroinfectious Disease & Tropical Neurology, Neurogenetics, Neuromuscular Disorders, Child Neurology, and many more.

2. CNS 2025 Annual Meeting
Hosts: Cognitive Neuroscience Society
Where: Boston, Massachusetts, USA
When: 29 March to 1 April 2025
The Cognitive Neuroscience Society will host their 2025 annual meeting in Boston, Massachusetts, bringing together researchers from around the world to share their latest research into cognitive neuroscience. The 4-day event will feature a busy schedule of events including symposia, poster sessions, guest speakers, and the annual George A. Miller Award Lecture.
This year’s keynote address will be delivered by Adriana Galván of the University of California, Los Angeles, who will speak on the topic of ‘Adolescent Brain Development: The Importance of Connections’.
Registration for attendees will close on the 5th March 2025, and once again there are opportunities for student members to attend the event for free in exchange for volunteer work at the event.

3. AD/PD™ 2025 Alzheimer’s & Parkinson’s Diseases Conference

Where: Vienna, Austria
When: 1-5 April 2025
The AD/PD™ 2025 International Conference on Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Diseases and Related Neurological Disorders takes place in Vienna, Austria in July 2025.
This hybrid event attracted more than 4,700 participants last year, and brings together the brightest minds to explore the latest research, clinical trials, and treatments for Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.
The packed 5-day program will feature forum discussions, industry symposia, oral and poster presentations, as well as talks from leading international experts in the field, plus the opportunity for informal networking with professors.

4. The BNA2025 Festival of Neuroscience
Hosts: British Neuroscience Association
Where: Liverpool, UK
When: 27-30 April 2025
The British Neuroscience Association will be heading to the historic city of Liverpool, UK, this year to host the BNA2025 Festival of Neuroscience.
This exciting event celebrates the diversity and scientific excellence of the neuroscience community and aims to connect, inform and influence the future of brain research. The festival includes an extensive programme of public activities to involve and inspire the local community, while sharing the highest quality science from leading experts including Professor Adrian Bird, Professor Christine Klein, Dr Geoffrey A Kerchner & many more.
The event also features a number of social activities for attendees to enjoy, including a welcome reception, social evening and gala dinner to be held at Liverpool Cathedral.

5. 10th Mediterranean Neuroscience Conference
Hosts: Mediterranean Neuroscience Society
Where: Crete, Greece
When: 7-11 June 2025
The Mediterranean Neuroscience Society hosts its 10th annual conference on the island of Crete, Greece, in June. The event will welcome neuroscience experts, professionals, and students from around the world, offering a unique platform for exchanging knowledge, ideas, and advancements across all areas of basic, translational, preclinical and clinical neuroscience.
Keynote speakers include: Giovanni Marsicano of NeuroCentre Magendie, France; Margaret M McCarthy of the University of Maryland, USA; Panayiota Poirazi of FENS; and Shubha Tole of the Tata Institute in Mumbai, India. The program of events and activities will promote research, education, advocacy, policy-making, and public awareness on all aspects of brain science.

6. OHBM 2025 Annual Meeting

When: 24-28 June 2025
The Organization for Human Brain Mapping hosts the annual OHBM 2025 meeting in Brisbane, Australia in June.
The event brings together like-minded researchers to engage in educational forums and the exchange of up-to-the-minute, groundbreaking research across neuroimaging methods and applications.
This year’s meeting will include keynote lectures, symposia, oral sessions, posters and exhibits, and will showcase the latest advancements in neuroimaging that are helping today’s researchers to understand the anatomical and functional organization of the human brain,

7. AAIC 2025
Hosts: Alzheimer’s Association
Where: Toronto, Canada / virtual ticket option
When: 27-31 July 2025
The Alzheimer’s Association hosts the world’s largest international conference on dementia research in Toronto, Canada this July. The AAIC 25 brings together leading Alzheimer’s experts from around the world to share their theories, breakthroughs and best practices, with more than 14,000 members attending the 2024 event.
Researchers, clinicians and dementia professionals from all career stages are invited to share breaking research discoveries that will lead to new methods of prevention and treatment, and improve diagnosis for Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

8. ISN-ASN 2025 Meeting
Hosts: ISN & ASN
Where: New York, USA
When: 19-22 August 2025
This year’s ISN-ASN 2025 Meeting takes place in New York, USA in August 2025. Hosted by the International Society for Neurochemistry and the American Society for Neurochemistry, the meeting will offer an engaging experience for researchers of all levels, covering the most important and emerging concepts in the field of modern molecular neurochemistry.
The Marthe Vogt Lecture will be delivered by Ana Maria Cuervo of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, USA, with plenary sessions from Eric Nestler, Eunjoon Kim, Magdalena Götz and Ana Belén Elgoyhen.
The full schedule features posters and exhibitions, symposia from Young Members and Emerging Group Leaders, a workshop hosted by JNeurochem, and a huge variety of abstracts and guest speakers.

9. EACR Cancer Neuroscience
Hosts: European Association for Cancer Research
Where: Bilbao, Spain
When: 14-16 October 2025
This year the European Association for Cancer Research will present its first conference focused on the field of cancer neuroscience. Taking place in Bilbao, Spain, Cancer Neuroscience 2025 will bring together international leaders in the field to identify the most relevant current insights, and to develop a roadmap for future preclinical, translational and clinical research.
The busy 3-day programme includes an opening keynote lecture from Michelle Monje Deisseroth of Stanford University, USA, on the topic of ‘The Neuroscience of Brain Cancers’ as well as numerous other guest speakers, including Leanne Li of the Crick Institute, UK, Erica Sloan of Monash University, Australia, and Doug Hanahan of EPFL Switzerland.

10. Neuroscience 2025

Where: San Diego, USA
When: 15-19 November 2025
Each year the Society for Neuroscience (SfN) hosts one of the largest annual neuroscience events in the world, with this year being no exception. Neuroscience 2025 will take place in San Diego, USA, in November and will see an estimated 30,000 researchers gather from around the world to share their research, connect with one another, and learn about the latest innovations in the field of neuroscience.
This massive 5-day event will feature world-leading guest speakers, basic-translational-clinical roundtables, storytelling sessions, professional development workshops, symposia and minisymposia, as well as networking activities and social events.
