Science Snapshots Competition - win $250 Lab Fun Grant!
Do you love to take photos in the lab? Or maybe you are a keen science photographer? We want to see your best science snaps for our great new ‘Science Snapshots’ photo competition!
The competition is open to scientists, technicians, PhD students, or anyone currently working in a life science lab. We’re looking for one image that best represents your science research or work in the lab. It could be something unbelievable under your microscope, a fascinating natural pattern, a snap of your smiling lab mates at the bench, or something else entirely - show us what you do in just one fantastic photo and you could win a $250 Lab Fun Grant!
You don’t need to be a professional photographer, or have lots of high tech photographic kit. Your phone would do just as nicely! Think selfies, cells, equipment, or your team. Your photos could be creative, unusual, humorous or visually stunning – whatever you think best represents your work as a scientist.
We’ll be posting the entries on our website over the next few weeks, and the winning scientist will receive $250 to spend on something for their whole lab team to enjoy! This Lab Fun Grant can be used for anything that a lab team could enjoy together - a lab party or social event, cakes or lab-t-shirts, or anything else fun!
How to enter
It's easy & quick to enter - just upload your high res image here, along with a brief description of how this picture best represents your work in the lab. The deadline for your entry is Thursday the 22nd June 2023.
