Meet the Hello Bio Team: Daria Dolecka
Let’s meet another member of our Hello Bio team! Daria Dolecka is a Senior Customer Service Executive, and she told us a little more about her role, as well as her love of languages and passion for books!
Hi Daria! Please can you tell us about your role at Hello Bio?
As a Senior Customer Service Executive, my main job is to keep all of our customers happy! I look after our customers from the UK, Europe, Asia, Africa, South America and Australia. I am usually the first person our customers talk to. I am very proud to be a member of the Hello Bio team and I am a strong advocate for our mission: to make best quality research tools not only as affordable as possible, but also easily accessible to researchers from all over the world.
What special qualities do you bring to Hello Bio?
As I have customer service and marketing experience not only from a completely different industry, but also from a different country, I think I brought some new perspectives and ideas. I love having brainstorming sessions and sharing my ideas and previous experiences with my team. Apparently, my organisation skills come in handy as well.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
I enjoy meeting our customers and learning more about their research! I find this environment very inspiring and motivating. Every day, I get a chance to talk to people from all over the world: thanks to my role, I feel like a part of a big, scientific family and I am loving it! I am also very proud of the fact that I get to support scientists and their research by providing the products they need.
What does a typical day look like for you?
I start my day by reading all of my new emails while having a big cup of strong coffee. I write down my to-do list for the day where I prioritise customers’ orders and inquiries. I prepare all the shipment documents, process orders, prepare quotes and respond to all the other enquiries. I also support our Marketing team: I help to organise our trips to conferences and other scientific events, and I contact the applicants and winners of our Early Career Scientist Grant and Lab Heroes Awards.

I am available Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm GMT at +44(0)117 318 0505 (UK, Rest of the World customers) and +353 5 154 0083 (European customers) or via email: customercare@hellobio.com and daria.dolecka@hellobio.com. I speak fluent English and Polish, I can also respond in Spanish, and I am trying my best at replying to emails in French and Swedish.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Usually, you can see me reading something: I am a bookworm! The whole team knows that I always read a book while having my lunch. I am a keen gardener and I also like photography, knitting and watercolour painting. And, as a linguist, I love learning new languages and about their history. I am particularly interested in the history of Scandinavian languages. Whenever I can, I travel to new places: I am going to Rome this April!
