Amyloid Beta
Amyloid Beta (Aβ) peptides are the primary component of amyloid plaques in Alzheimer's disease and are core to neurodegenerative pathology. Formed from the amyloid precursor protein (APP), Aβ aggregates into various species, with soluble oligomers of the Aβ(1-42) isoform being key drivers of neurotoxicity.
