Antonio Zandona is nominated in the Lab Heroes Awards - TM
Antonio Zandona, Division of Toxicology, Institute for Medical Research and Occupational Health, Zagreb, Croatia
"When you think about an ideal person to work with, that would for sure be Antonio! Science is a crazy place, with all of its ups and downs, and having a partner to walk with you side-by-side in that labyrinth every day, picking you up when you fall and helping you find a solution is just priceless!
Antonio is a colleague, an assistant, a great experimentator and a researcher, (sometimes a secretary ;-) too) and above all a friend - all in one, and doing it with so much ease that nobody can understand how! His artistic side always puts a smile on our faces with the most beautiful birthday card poems!
I am nominating Antonio just to let you know that real heroes exist and luckily my lab is blessed to have one on its side."
Nominated by Maja Katalinić, Institute for Medical Research and Occupational Health, Zagreb, Croatia

Who's your Lab Hero?
This is your chance to give back to the scientists who make – or who have made – a positive difference to your life, career, and workplace. That might be putting in extra effort in the lab, supporting their colleagues in difficult times, producing incredible results through their work, or making the lab a better place for everyone...
Nominations close Friday 8th December 2023. T&Cs apply.
