Biological description Potent, selective PPARγ agonist with no activity at PPARα or PPARδ. Decreases insulin resistance and shows potent glucose-lowering effects. Also stimulates adipogenesis and induces cellcycle arrest and apoptosis in several cancer cell lines. Shows anti-diabetic and anti-inflammatory activity.
