Biological Data

Biological description Alkylation reagent. Commonly used to tag substrates for isolation by immunoprecipitation or immunoaffinity purification or detection by immunoblotting. Alkylates thiophosphates (e.g. substrates phosphorylated with ATPgammaS or N6-benzyl-ATPgammaS) to form thiophosphate ester epitopes that can be recognized by antibodies. Prepare a 50 mM PNBM (12 mg/ml) stock by dissolving PNBM in DMSO and vortexing.
