Paul Jackson is nominated in the Lab Heroes Awards - TM
Paul Jackson, Diagnostic lab, UEA cancer genetics, University of East Anglia, UK
"Paul is our lab manager in the Diagnostic lab. He is an incredibly valued member of our team. He always goes out of his way to help with things that aren't actually part of his job but he does them anyway. He really lifts the mood in our lab as he is always ready with a joke (even terrible puns sent in emails to cheer up coworkers) and makes everyone laugh on a regular basis. Paul has been known to come in on weekends in his own time to help colleagues and always goes above and beyond to get things done. One of his particular skills in firing elastic bands at rogue flies that find their way into the lab. Whenever Paul is around he lights up the place with his sense of humour. The lab wouldn't survive without Paul - he is our fixer! We really appreciate all the extra effort he goes to in making our lives easier."
Nominated by Kate Manley, Diagnostic lab, UEA cancer genetics, University of East Anglia, UK
