Biological description

23-aminoacid peptide fragment of the human ACE2 receptor PDα1 helix (peptidase domain α1 helix).

SBP1 binds insect-derived SARS-CoV-2 RBD (receptor binding domain) with micromolar affinity (Kd = 1.3µM in a biochemical assay).

The sequence of SBP1 is fully proteinogenic, and is not expected to be immunogenic.
