Potent and selective protein kinase C (PKC) inhibitor (IC50 = 21 nM). Selective for PKC-α over PKC-βI, PKC-βII, PKC-γ and PKC-ε (IC50 values are 9, 28, 31, 37 and 108 nM respectively). Also a GRK inhibitor (IC50 values are 29, 3.6 and 16μM respectively). Inhibits T cell proliferation, interleukin-2 (IL-2) secretion and IL-2 receptor expression. Cell permeable.
