Deborah Kreiss is nominated in the Lab Heroes Awards 2021

Deborah Kreiss, Neuroscience, Binghamton University, United States

02 Dec 2021

"Dr. Kreiss has been supporting her First Year Research Immersion Neuroscience students for many years now, helping them grow within the lab and out. She is inspiring, motivating and devoted to her lab and students. She puts in so much time at the lab, always putting her students and research first. I have learned so much about neuroscience, lab animal care and life from her. After a difficult year in lab, she still always makes us feel welcomed and loved. The stress of research not going exactly as planned and accidents costing the lab thousands, has only motivated her to put more work in, and helping our program grow and prosper."

Nicolette Cavallaro, Neuroscience, Binghamton University, United States

"I have worked in her lab for 3 years. She is kind, caring, and really pushes all the undergraduates in her lab to learn and grow. She has roughly 60 students in and out of her lab every year, and develops a relationship with them where she helps them to grow as independent researchers."

Laura Barlow, Binghamton University, United States
