Selective inhibitor of the stress-induced Protein Phosphatase 1 Regulatory Subunit 15A (PP1R15A). Guanabenz derivative. Does not bind the related PP1R15B. Protects cells from protein misfolding stress and prevents protein-misfolding diseases such as Charcot-Marie-Tooth 1B and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in vivo.
