Phosphatase Inhibitor Cocktail solution (with Calyculin A)

Overview

This phosphatase inhibitor cocktail contains a mixture of three phosphatase inhibitors for the inhibition of serine/threonine and alkaline phosphatases.

Phosphatase inhibitor cocktails preserve the phosphorylation state of the proteins in your sample.

Components and action

The following components are included in this cocktail which target phosphatases including protein tyrosine phosphatases, acid and alkaline phosphatases..

• Cantharidin: serine/threonine phosphatase (PP2A) inhibitor (500 µM)
• (-)-p-Bromotetramisole oxalate: Alkaline phosphatase inhibitor (2.5mM)
• Calyculin A: serine/threonine phosphatase (PP1 and PP2A) inhibitor (1 µM)

Formulation & usage recommendation

The cocktail is supplied in DMSO (1 ml). Recommended for use with tissue and cell extracts including extracts containing detergents. Recommended usage is a 100-fold dilution.
