Biological description CNS stimulant. Induces kindling of seizures in vivo and changes the excitatory and inhibitory neurotransmitter balance. Decreases µ-opioid and GABAA receptors and causes an increase in glutamate and aspartate. Potentially acts as a non-competitive GABAA receptor antagonist. Shows convulsive actions.
