Neuropeptide S (NPS) is an endogenous neuropeptide which acts at the Neuropeptide S receptor (NPSR). It is expressed by a limited number of neurons in the brainstem.

It promotes arousal and anxiolytic-like effects and is thought to be involved in in mood control and vigilance.
