"Erin is a beautiful person inside and out of the lab. She is always willing to help. Her knowledge is amazing and not just science-facts but about sports, songs, cultures, etc., good to partner up during a quiz night. The most organised manager I know, everything has been running smoothly at the institute since she started working here, and taking into account that the New Zealand's government requires more permits and paperwork than in other parts of the world, that is a BIG DEAL. Every equipment, reagent, eppendorfs, flask is carefully placed in the best location. I've never seen a lab so clean and tidy, and all of this is because of Erin. Gillies McIndoe Research Institute works because of her, a key puzzle in our research lab. Now, to talk about her from a personal point of view. She is always kind, and I mean ALWAYS. She is willing to give you a hand when you need it. She is happy to repeat something with the same patience and interest as when you asked the first time, even when it is the millionth time you ask. It is amazing how she takes care of not just the scientific part of our institute, but also the social aspect, always organising creative and original team buildings, potlucks, secret santas, etc. One example of her kind heart is during our dinner/lunch events. Erin always looks for the best option, taking into account our long list of allergies and intolerances. She thinks about everyone, every detail, every need. Thank you, Erin, for being an amazing person and making Gillies a wonderful place to work at."
