"Mei has an exceptional work ethic, is innovative in solving novel and complex problems, and has demonstrated a commitment to advancing our field (studying the effects of anesthetic drugs on the brain). She often comes early to our lab and stays late, and is always willing to help others in the lab with their experiments. Above all, though, what sets Mei apart is her ability to think outside the box in designing and executing experiments. She is a driving force in the lab, and truly deserving of a Lab Heroes Award."
