"I would like to nominate my supervisor Dr. Alessandra Berry to be thankful for all the support she gives me during our research. She is very passionate about research and science, and encourages me every day to improve more and more. Her excellent memory and contagious curiosity are a source of inspiration, leading to ever-innovative ideas to improve the design of a project. What makes her special is her always sunny and fun nature, capable of bringing positivity even when things get difficult, combining courage and strengthening confidence. She always encourages lab students to do their best, also encouraging them to step out of their comfort zone, which is what makes you grow the most. When I think about what I've learned thanks to Alessandra, a quote by Albert Einstein comes to mind: “Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think”. I think the strength of her indirect teachings lies in this ability and I can never thank her enough for this life-changing attitude."
