Kaitlyn Hawkins is nominated in the Lab Heroes Awards - TM
Kaitlyn Hawkins, Dr. Arthur Beyder’s Lab, Mayo Clinic, United States
"I am the animal care technician working closely with Kaitlyn. Since starting at the beginning of the year, Kaitlyn has been an incredible mentor both within the lab and personally. She has mentored me in managing dozens of animal models, developing new animal lines, performing multiple scientific procedures, figure construction and managing inventory. Kaitlyn is quick to help others with complaining and handles difficult tasks with ease. She is the glue that holds the lab together, and the lab member whom others come to with scientific questions. I always look forward to working with and learning from Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn is very clearly our lab hero, and I can’t think of anyone else who is more deserving of this recognition."
Nominated by Emma Laible, Dr. Arthur Beyder’s Lab, Mayo Clinic, United States

Who's your Lab Hero?
This is your chance to give back to the scientists who make – or who have made – a positive difference to your life, career, and workplace. That might be putting in extra effort in the lab, supporting their colleagues in difficult times, producing incredible results through their work, or making the lab a better place for everyone...
