Carlos Garrido Tomás is nominated in the Lab Heroes Awards - TM
Carlos Garrido Tomás, Neuropsychopharmacology, Hospital General Universitario de Albacete, Spain
"Carlos has been our lab technician for about 20 years by now. During this time he has become an irreplaceable member of our crew. He has mastered a good number of techniques and he is the living memory of our lab, for all our current procedures. Still, he is eager to learn and incorporate new procedures to improve our lines of research. Carlos is also happy to contribute to the formation of our new students, always in a good mood and ready to crack a joke to ease their mood when things do not work as well as expected. He is also willing to walk the extra mile when necessary and he loves getting involved in brain storming and planning of our research projects. It is comforting to know our lab is in such good hands!"
Nominated by Carlos de Cabo de la Vega, Neuropsychopharmacology, Hospital General Universitario de Albacete, Spain

This is your chance to give back to the scientists who make – or who have made – a positive difference to your life, career, and workplace. That might be putting in extra effort in the lab, supporting their colleagues in difficult times, producing incredible results through their work, or making the lab a better place for everyone...
