Biological description Widely used UV light-excitable, ratiometric calcium indicator. Use for ratio-imaging microscopy. Measures intracelular calcium. Membrane impermeable which can be loaded into cells by microinjection, electroporation or scrape loading. Excitation 363nm, Emission 512nm.

Can unused dye be frozen and reused?

Once dye has been dissolved in DMSO then it is possible to aliquot and freeze at -20°C. Try to avoid more than 2 freeze/thaw cycles.
