"Catarina, besides being an amazing person, she is an extraordinary scientist and a wonderful team member. She is always in a good mood, happy to work and she is funny! Even when she is trying to deal with all the work that she has, she still finds time to sit with you, talk and help you to calm down (even when you just need a hug because your western blot didn’t work!). She can deal with lots of pressure and deadlines and still find the time to help all the colleagues that need her. She is my Hero! I am super lucky to have Catarina doing her PhD together with me, helping me every day when I am trying to figure out how to put all the 1000k pieces of a puzzle (lots of data!) together and willing to discuss science even on the weekends! I am grateful to spend the most difficult (although amazing) days of my scientific life with her."
