"Marija is the most hard-working person I have met during my PhD studies. She is selfless and always ready to help. I am very grateful to her for teaching me basics of confocal microscopy and endless Saturday and Sundays taking images with me. Besides being the greatest lab partner she is an extreme perfectionist, resulting in artistic micrographs that she produces during imaging. These images were so good that she was awarded for the best micrograph and her famous astrocyte even ended up on the cover of Journal of Neuroscience Research.
