"Ms. Mak is very helpful, knowledgable and inspiring. She was my supervisor for my undergraduate final year project. Within that span of a few months, she inspired me to be passionate about research. Besides, she is nurturing, a good problem-solver, patient and also sincere in teaching. I could not have asked for a better supervisor!"

"She is kind and helpful. She always assists her students including me when we encounter difficulties in our research projects. She is very knowledgeable as she is an expert in many research fields such as target identification, drug design, organic synthesis, DMPK, in vitro and in vivo testing. She also actively shares her knowledge and experiences with us especially the tips and tricks for conducting certain research studies. In addition, she is very patient in guiding us. When we found certain concepts difficult to understand, she didn't mind repeating them until we fully understood them. After teaching us the concepts, she will inspire and motivate us to find out the answers to our doubts through our effort instead of spoonfeeding us, hence training us to be more independent while conducting our research project. She also contributed to the exchange of scientific knowledge across the distinct fields of the industry catering the postgraduate students, faculty, healthcare practitioners and industry professionals by chairing the 9th International Postgraduate Conference on Pharmaceutical Sciences (iPoPS 2022) which was held from 21st to 24th June 2022. She is indeed an amazing lecturer as well as a PhD student at the same time! Thanks to my lab hero, I started to develop an enthusiasm for conducting research studies and am passionate about further pursuing PhD in pharmaceuticals-related research fields. Hopefully one day I can be as capable as my lab hero!"
